Film Structure
As the figure shown on below, we can clearly understand the Film physically is composite from multi-layer structure, the film must have a certain thickness, for example, the thickness of FujiFilm RDP II 4x5" sheet film is 25/1000mm. Now the point that we want to talk about is Why the Slide Film can appear such high resolution and what the thickness of the film can bring us in visual.
*After developing processing, the layer becomes transparence
** No treatment for this layer in 135 film
Why High Vision and Solid Spatial Image - Positive Slide Film
The light Sensitive Emulsion layers of R G B are formed by millions of Silver Halide, film after exposure the light sensitive elements were finally developed and composite the color image, that means the image is composite from the millions silver halide and due to the absolute single R G B channel, therefore, it is the reason why we can have ultra high vision from the positive slide film. Beside the rich color and high vision, we can achieve very unique image character, the transparency film behave with Solid Spatial Image, owing to the multi-layers and its' physical composition.
